ABOUT

E.C. Stevens is the horror-writing alter ego of Steve Earnhart, a creator whose storytelling journey spans music, comics, and novels. Based in Wake Forest, North Carolina, Stevens cut his teeth in Boston as a touring and session bassist, then in LA producing music for television and streaming before moving into the world of comic books and graphic novels. Today, he channels that same creative energy into dark fiction that blends atmosphere, suspense, and raw humanity, exemplified in his debut novel, BAD MOON RIDE.

Away from the page, he remains an active force in the Triangle music scene, holding down orchestra pits for musicals, cutting tracks in recording studios, playing jazz and fusion dates, and serving as a sideman for multiple Nashville artists. He is also the founder and creative director of SYNTRAK Watch Company, where he brings his storytelling instincts to original timepieces inspired by the culture of speed.

A husband, father of two daughters, and stage IV colorectal cancer survivor, he brings a fighter's resolve to both his life and writing. When he's not working, his passions include boxing, origami, motorcycles, and finding new ways to tell a good story.
